As much as we all love to support our local vendors and nearby shops, it’s time to be practical. For the next few months (I hope it’s going to be only a few months) stepping out from your home’s comfort is not going to be the best thing to do. And also based on the queries I have been getting in my direct messages, I have compiled a list of brands that supply essentials. Most of them deliver and I’m going to try and provide as much information as I can. I would also encourage you to talk to the brands directly for more information, This post is meant to be only for guidance and not a promotional one of any nature. b. The Farm is a place that could be useful for people living in that side of the city. And I envy those people who get to access The Farm easily. They have a broadcast message sent everyday announcing their specials for the next day.

a. Tryst Gourmet Store – I’ve found their physical store very fascinating where rarest of rare sauces/ condiments/ingredients were available. And, not to forget to mention their breads/quiches/croissants etc

b. Ekart Groceries – Seems to be a viable option for those days when you want to shop for groceries alone.

c. Urban Platter – This place gave the feel of an online Big Bazaar. Don’t forget to check out their 99 store.

e. There’s hardly anyone in Chennai who doesn’t know Amma Naana Departmental Store. One can use there WhatsApp number to check for availability of stocks/items before sending an online partner for pickup.

3. Only Vegetables :
a. Angadi – As of now they deliver only to the following areas: T.Nagar, Mandaveli, Mylapore, Adyar, Thiruvanmiyur, C.I.T. Nagar, Mambalam, Nandanam, Teynampet, Kotturpuram.

b. Madras Mandi feels like you are inside a Vegetables shop in Koyambedu. Only challenge will be there minimum order quantity. Probably a few of your friends/neighbours can get together and order.

c. Org Farm Store – They seem to have almost every essentials listed including grocery supplies. But, the reason why I’ve listed them under Vegetables is because they had cut vegetables available on their website. This was something that I didn’t find in other brands.

a. Last year there were many players and this year players like Licious/Fipola/FreshToHome are operating but I find that things that I look for are mostly unavailable. So, sharing this new find here.

a. The Freshlings – They have subscriptipn boxes. It’s interesting if you enjoy creating with such ingredients.
