Based out of Nesapakkam, this brand is a sister concern from the House Of Idlies that deals with esentials like different varieties of Podis, Urugaais and Rice mixes. When I received their Menu through a WhatsApp forward, I didn’t have an ounce of a doubt about how the quality was going to be. I’ve watched Idlies grow and whatever they are today is because of their commitment to quality. Another important aspect about them is that their recipes are very comforting.
Ennai Manga Oorga (₹220) was the name that caught my attention. It was Crispy Mango bits completely soaked in Pickle Oil. I’m using it sparsely because of the fear that it might get over soon. Narthala Podi Aka Vepala Kati (₹200) tasted excellent when paired with Curd Rice. For Plain Rice + Nalla Ennai + Podi lovers their Karuvepillai Podi (₹120) maybe apt. I used it to make Podi Idlies also which was excellent. Puli Inji (₹150) and Milagai Thokku (₹180) were par excellence.
