Biryani is a way of life more than it being just an emotion for most of us. So, mushrooming of Biryani places here and there is quite the norms. Eventhough we are hung up on our usual style of Biryani, it’s nice to find places that serve a different variety of Biryani, sometimes.
The Donne Style is unique and there are only a couple of places that serve this. Chickpet Donne place has certainly aced the same. I had the Donne Mutton Biryani (₹210) and my friend had the Donne Chicken Biryani (₹170). The short grained Biryani did carry the unique flavour (of the Green Paste) with panache. The Meat quality could have been a better, though. Irritants level was mild.
The average meat quality continued in the Mutton Pepper Dry (₹240) making it less desirable. Prawn Fry (₹220) was okayish. Donne Kshthiriya Kabab (₹160) was the winner among the sides we ordered.
Total bill was (₹1290) including an order of one more Mutton Biryani and a few Goli Sodas.
