As is the trend formed in Madurai, a few places (most of them are quiet popular) serves as a Mutton Kadai (Butcher Shop) by day and transforms into an eatery by evening. The name boards shall indicate the same to new visitors, who are not localities. Power Kadai as the name shall give you all a clue sure gives an electrifying experience. The place is filled with action and bubbling with customers dining and doing takeaway.
If I’ve to start with my favorite dishes of the evening, it’ll be their perfectly cooked Paaya (₹90) and fall-of-the-bone kind, and high on pepper Nalli Kari (₹150). Vengaya Kari (₹100) was different and was more like a Keema preparation and not what I’ve had before in the name of Vengayakari. Mutton Chukka (₹100) was excellent.
Idly (₹7/pc) was the perfect companion for all the items. Parotta (₹15/pc) was as it was supposed to be. Kari Dosai (₹150) was my type, totally. Kola Urundai (₹6/pc) was a mistake.
Total bill was ₹666 including multiple order of few items.
