Pondicherry must have it’s share of new eateries, but I actually am not aware of those places as my constant during all my latest visit has only been Bread & Chocolate, particularly for Breakfast. The place has a simple (Vegan options) menu – standard as well as a few specials (hand written on their Black Board). There’s some kind of honesty in their food that has converted me as their loyal. It’s a no frills but pleasing to all senses kind of food.
The Breakfast Board (₹350) is a constant order here now because I get the PB&J Toast as well as the Cacao Bowl in the same platter. Their PB&J which has a generous amount of their in-house Peanut Butter smeared on a sour dough slice and their lip smacking Fig Jam. One bite and your mind is sure to go “That’s what happiness is all about”.
I love all their Smoothie bowls equally but wanted to share this particular new addition to their Menu called “Chocolate Smoothie Bowl” (₹320). The base of which is made of Bananas, Cocoa Powder and Coconut Milk. It is topped with toasted coconut, cacao nibs, goji berries, nuts, chia seeds etc. Healthy and tasty can’t be portrayed better than this. Highly recommended!
