One of my most treasured food experience would always be the Karaikal stint. The Petti Soru from there is etched in my mind strongly. So, when the concept appeared in Chennai, I was waiting to try it out. No regrets for stopping by for a meal here.
They are open for Lunch (12-3) and then for Dinner (7-10). Limited Menu with 4 Nei Choru Combos – Vegetarian, Mutton, Chicken and Quail. Decent ambience with a place to stand and eat.
Ordered the Unlimited Mutton Nei Choru Combo (₹180) for myself and the Chicken (₹130) variant for a friend. I enjoyed the Nei Choru with their Dalcha that came as an accompaniment. Never have I encountered a Dalcha with English Vegetables in it before. But, no complaints on the taste front, though. Their Brinjal Chops (Pachadi) was pretty good. The combos are unlimited if you Dine-in there.
Did a takeaway of their Mutton Combo (₹240) just for the Petti Soru experience. Neatly packed with good quantity.
Totally paid ₹550.
