A very thoughtful Buffet has been conceptualized for the Sunday Brunch at Va Pho in Gopalapuram and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it and had one of the best Buffet experiences, there. It would be certainly taxing on the kitchen team to run such a Buffet Spread continuously for 4-5 hours. Since, I landed up early I could patiently sit through and watch the happenings during the buffet table setting. The effort of the team is truly commendable. Sunday Asian Brunch Buffet is only on Sundays and starts by 10.30 AM and gets over by 2.30-3.00 PM and it runs a rotating menu.
The Menu on the Sunday, I went carried most of my favorite dishes. Drink, Soup, Bao and a few starters were served on the table. I chose Iced Lemon Tea over their Milo. Appreciate the gesture of giving Drinks and Soup in smaller portions. It shows their genuine hospitality of not filling the customers stomach with just fillers. Chicken Bao was at it’s best as usual. My choice of soup, the Chicken Pho was outstanding. Hanoi Chicken Wings, Chilli Garlic Fish and Spicy Chicken Satay were very good. But, under the Vegetarian Starters, I was pleasantly surprised by the Roasted Chilli Potato that carried a nice Chilli note. Sambal Lotus Stem and Spring Roll (Not in Picture) were Okayish.
I couldn’t conquer all of the dishes under Main Course – Tasted only Rendang Chicken with Steamed Rice and Chilli Okra Eggplant. But, settled well with all the dishes under the Salad counter – Raw Papaya and Mango Salad, Banana Blossom Salad and Fried Egg Salad – All 3 were very well prepared. Knowing the reputation of food in Va Pho, I’m pretty sure other things on the menu would have been a hit, too. Under desserts, tried only the Coffee Tres Leches, as I was already full and didn’t want to overload myself 😬.
Don’t leave without having/trying their Kaya Toast. 🤩
Cost of the Buffet per head is ₹495. Paid ₹572 for one person including taxes and service charge.
